Full Stack Developer

– This is a position that will require candidates to travel to the office in Sarasota, FL occasionally at the very least. Applicants should be located within driving distance of Sarasota.

Our client in Sarasota Florida has need for a Full-Stack Developer to work on special projects relating to their website and database. The ideal candidate will carry demonstrable expertise in ASP.NET and PHP, able to help integrate the client’s transportation management system (TMS) software with said website. Additionally, they seek candidates with experience developing and integrating APIs, creating and connecting to external databases, customizing and creating new UI’s, and building + setting up communication protocols.

In this role, the successful candidate will execute the following duties:

– Develop and maintain web applications using Java, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
– Create and consume APIs to integrate with external systems.
– Utilize version control systems such as SVN for code management.
– Design and implement database structures using Hibernate and MySQL.
– Develop and deploy microservices architecture for scalable application development.
– Ensure code quality through unit testing and debugging.
– Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Responsibilities will include:

– Work with a team to identify specific features and functionality of TMS software to be incorporated into the website.
– Determine the technical requirements for integrating said TMS software into the website.
– Develop the back-end of the website to integrate the TMS software’s processes and functionality.
– Develop the front-end of the website to provide an intuitive and user-friendly interface for customers and users to interact with the TMS software.
– Test the integration thoroughly to ensure that it works as expected and is secure.

The following skill requirements will be necessary to execute on the role:

– Expertise in ASP.NET and PHP.
– Experience with API development and integration.
– Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain management is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field a big plus.
– 3+ years of proven experience in full stack development linking software back-end resources with websites.
