Cutting Edge Recruiting Solutions (CERS) has a need for Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in the roofing industry. The AP specialist is responsible for the daily accounts payable functions and limited general accounting duties.
Pay Rate: $23hr.Location: Fort Lauderdale
Job Responsibilities:
- Process daily mail and invoices – distribute invoices which need to be approved.
- Match invoices to receiving documents and verify quantity to agreed pricing and research any variances.
- Verify name, date, extensions, and footing of invoices.
- Code invoices for payment processing and entry into the general ledger.
- Post invoices and reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Track, audit and reconcile company credit card receipts to statements.
- Weekly – run a cash requirement report for Controller approval detailing which invoices are due. Pull invoices to be paid and verify to listing.
- Weekly – process checks and/or ACH payments.
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Monthly – reconcile vendor statements
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in accounting related positions
- Knowledge of commonly-used accounting concepts, practices and procedures
- Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills required (with managers, co-workers, and customers)
- Computer literate – Excel and MS Word
- Proficiency with at 10-Key calculator
- Able to multi-task
