Job OverviewWe are looking for an Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper to join the team and oversee the books and records of fast-growing entities in the technology and marketing industries. This includes providing accounting support and overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and conducting other tasks related to finance. To excel in this position, the Accounting Clerk/ Bookkeeper must be comfortable with technology, learning software and an expert in Microsoft Office products including Excel.

Essential Job Duties shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Accounts Receivable including:
    • Preparation of monthly invoices,
    • Maintaining customer records and receipts of payments,
    • Collections and month end reconciliation.       
  • Accounts Payable including:
    • Invoice entry,
    • Vendor records maintenance,
    • Review all expenses for accuracy and proper expense disclosure,
    • Timely payments, vendor statements and month end reconciliation.
  • Monthly sales/use tax reporting/remittance.
  • Annual preparation of 1099’s.
  • Multi Bank and corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain required financial and business-related retention files.
  • Fixed assets – Maintain fixed asset ledger and record related depreciation.
  • Prepare Internal Accrual and Cash Basis Financial Statements – monthly, quarterly, and annual.
    • Includes reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, reviewing for input accuracy, journal entries as needed and other related duties as may be requested.
    • Proficient in QuickBooks Accounting Software
    • Preferred but not required, experience with Dynamics Business Central, FKA Navision and or Dynamics GP FKA Great Plains.
    • Knowledge of both accrual and cash based financial reporting.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related windows technologies and skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, highly organized, detail oriented, able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, team player office environment, ability to interface well with staff, bilingual (Spanish & English) a plus but not required.

 Qualifications:

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Preferred but not required, experience with Dynamics Business Central, FKA Navision and    or Dynamics GP FKA Great Plains.
  • Knowledge of both accrual and cash based financial reporting.

Compensation:

 $50K-$60K annual salary depending on experience and qualifications.
